Olof Torgersson is a researcher and associate professor at the Department of applied IT at Chalmers University of Technology/University of Gothenburg. He has worked around 15 years in interdisciplinary research projects dealing with issues such as knowledge management, medical information systems, digital tools for supporting communities of practice, multi- layered user interface design, decision support systems, and mobile computing. He has been the leader of several larger research projects and is one of the founders and leaders of the research group Mobile touch (www.mobiletouch.se). Lately he has also been working on development of design education for vulnerable generation, children and elderly, and he is also since 2005 the program director of Chalmers’ master’s programme in interaction design where he teaches design and development for touch devices.
